Learn a Language Using Mango Languages Online

Mango Languages

Mango Languages online language-learning system is free of charge to patrons and offers a fun, fast and convenient way to learn to speak a foreign language. Click here to log on to Mango Languages using your library barcode. The library has new cards with 14-digit barcodes. If your card number begins with the letter P, please come in to the library with your card and an ID to get a new card. Please note that to use Mango, you must enable cookies in your browser's settings.

Mango’s online language learning system focuses on teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. Each lesson combines real-life situations and audio from native speakers with an easy-to-follow interface and simple, clear instructions.  You may set up an account to track your progress or just jump right in to learning a language.

Mango Languages currently offers 36 basic language courses, along with these 12 complete language courses:

Brazilian Portuguese
French
German
Greek
Italian
Japanese
Mandarin Chinese
Russian
Spanish
ESL for Brazilian Portuguese speakers
ESL for Polish speakers
ESL for Spanish speakers

Mango not loading propertly?
You will need to enable your cookies.  To learn more about how to do this pleas visit: https://www.mangolanguages.com/help/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=view

If this does not resolve the issue then install or re-install Adobe Flash Player 9 or greater from www.adobe.com

If this does not resolve the issue then download Mozilla Firefox from: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ie.html

No sound when you use Mango?
There's a chance that you might need to change your pop-up blocker settings to allow your browser to use Mango Languages' audio files. If this doesn't work, try using Mango Languages with the Firefox browser. To change the pop-up blocker: Under "tools" in your browser, click on "pop-up blocker settings. Type in www.mangolanguages.com in the "websites to allow" field.

To download Firefox, visit this link and proceed through the steps. The Mozilla Firefox browser generally gives many less problems while dealing with Mango Languages. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html

Problems viewing Asian fonts?
This issue exists because your computer does not currently have a suitable Asian default font installed. We are currently developing a method that will guide users through the process of installing fonts depending on their specific systems. But, until this documentation has been created please try downloading and installing one of the following fonts:
